One of our favorite parts of an all inclusive tropical vacation? Trying to find the best drinks! After many vacations, here’s our list of the best drinks at all inclusive resorts.
If you’re curious about discovering new drinks, a getaway to an all inclusive means you can try anything and everything without running up a huge bar tab.
Where else can you try a dozen different drinks a day for free? And you don’t even need to worry about who’s driving!
The All Inclusive Drink Experience
If you’re anything like Zuzu & me, one of the reasons you love all-inclusive resorts is the opportunity to try cocktails and frozen drinks that you’d probably never order if you were paying for each drink. That’s exactly what happened for me.
Pay to try a cucumber drink? Not me! Try it for free, sure!
Another great thing about all inclusive resorts is that there’s a wide variety of drinks to cater to every taste. From classic cocktails to smoke infused concoctions, the opportunities for discovering new favorites are endless.

FAQ: All Inclusive Resort Drinks
Yes! Most all inclusive resorts include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as part of the standard rate you pay. It’s common that top shelf spirits and wine by the bottle are extra at some all inclusive resorts.
Most all inclusive resorts include all-you-can-drink alcohol as part of their rate. Some common exceptions are top shelf liquor and wine by the bottle. Those may or may not be included so make sure to ask! Semi all inclusive resorts provide food, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks while charging extra for alcohol.
Beer, wine and local spirits are commonly included as part of the all-inclusive experience at most A.I. Resorts.
Our Top 7 Drinks at All-Inclusive Resorts
Our very first All Inclusive drink experience made a huge impression!
Barely 30 minutes after landing at Montego Bay Airport, we’re not even to our room yet and a bartender asks Zuzu what she wants to drink. She said “Whatever you want to make for me!”
That’s how the Painkiller made it to the top of her list of best resort drinks!
Painkiller: Pusser’s Rum Only!
At Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall in Jamaica, the Painkiller cocktail became her original go-to beach drink. This tropical blend of Pussers rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and coconut cream is like a Caribbean vacation in a glass!
Don’t forget the nutmeg on top of that Painkiller!
Oh, that’s my Gin Rickey on the left in the picture with Zuzu’s Painkiller on the right.
How to Make a Painkiller

Cucumber Mojito: My Favorite!
Like I said, I’d probably never pay to try a cucumber drink.
Fortunately for me, it was Mojito Fest at Secrets Maroma Beach in Mexico.
That’s how I discovered a new favorite – the Cucumber Mojito. It’s now my go-to beach drink!
btw, it’s no surprise that there are multiple Mojitos on our best drinks list. Paying $0 for 8 nights at Secrets Maroma Beach & Secrets Moxche during Mojito Fest can make an impact on you!

Pineapple Mojito
Next up is the Pineapple Mojito, a fun tropical twist on the classic mojito. The combination of fresh pineapple, mint, and rum is a refreshing treat perfect for those hot beach days.
This was another discovery during a free trip to an All Inclusive Resort! The Pineapple Mojito definitely belongs on our list of best drinks to order in Mexico at an all-inclusive resort!
Mango Mojito
Our anniversary trip to Puerto Rico introduced us to the Mango Mojito. The sweet mango paired with the classic mojito ingredients made this drink an unforgettable addition to our Puerto Rican adventure.
While we didn’t get this drink in the picture at an all inclusive, it’s the first time we tried a Mango Mojito. It was HUGE, Great & Cheap!
It’s now in our regular rotation of favorite drinks at all inclusives!
Classic Margarita: The All-time Favorite
I mean, how can you go wrong with a Marg?
As a traditional drink in Mexico, the Classic Margarita is an all-time favorite. This blend of tequila, lime juice, and triple sec hits all the right notes – it’s tangy, refreshing, and just the right amount of boozy.
If you want to try some other traditional Mexican drinks, check out 5 margarita alternatives at Peachy’s food blog.
Strawberry Daiquiri, Blueberries Optional
We found the best Strawberry Daiquiri at a local beach bar in Nassau called the Daiquiri Shack.
Zuzu still raves about how Polo, the bartender, prepared it fresh and even added a few blueberries at her request. The resulting sweet and tangy concoction was the perfect beachside cool-me-down.
Again, we paid for this drink but it’s probably the best Strawberry Daiquiri we’ve ever had. And it’s all the reminder that we need to order one (or three) when we visit all inclusive resorts!
Bloody Mary: The Brunch Classic
Alright, you might not think of a Bloody Mary as a beachy drink at an all inclusive resort, but hear me out.
Since we’re on vacation, I enjoy the opportunity to sleep in and have a late brunch. And what’s the perfect brunch drink? Yep, a Bloody Mary!
And just in case you over did it last night, this vodka-based drink with tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of hot sauce is just what a hangover ordered!
What’s the Best Drink for an All Inclusive Resort?
Whether it’s the bartender’s recommendation in Jamaica, or a surprising new discovery during Mojito Fest at a Mexican All Inclusive, the drinks we’ve enjoyed at all-inclusive resorts have added an extra layer of fun to our vacations.
Tips for getting the Best Drinks at All Inclusive Resorts
With a a reputation for being watered down, drinks at All Inclusive Resorts get a bad rap. Even if you don’t like our recommendations for best drinks, try these tips to get better than average beach drinks.
Ask for Top Shelf Liquor
Although a resort may offer top shelf liquor, you might not get it if you don’t ask. It can be as simple as adding a brand to your order. Instead of letting the bartender use any old blanco tequila, ask for a “Don Julio Margarita.” Or ask for a “Grey Goose Bloody Mary.”
It’s all free and adding a brand to your order will help you avoid the cheap booze.
Try the Specials
Just like I found my new favorite resort drink during Mojito Festival at Secrets Maroma Beach, you should ask for and try any drink specials on your All Inclusive vacation.
Fresh Ingredients
On our low budget trip to Nassau, the standard resort drinks were mostly made with syrup or pre-made fruit juice. They were good but the fresh strawberries & blueberries at the Daquiri Shack were next level!
We hope our cocktail & drink list inspires you to discover your own favorite drinks during your next resort visit.
Let us know in the comments what you think are the best drinks to order when you’re vacationing at an all inclusive!
